Role overview
Provide a high-quality accounting support ensuring the internal control environment is maintained, accounting records are accurately recorded and reconciled to support internal and regulatory reporting framework.
Key responsibilities
- Manage Accounts and AP inboxes
- Process supplier invoices accurately/completely and on a timely basis into finance system
- Generate weekly payment run, prepare payment batch for authorisation and prepare payment files
- Generate invoices upon request and follow up outstanding invoices with relevant managers
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Provide administrative support to the finance team and wider administration team when required
Skills, knowledge and experience
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Understanding of accounting principles and processes - desirable
- Strong customer service focus.
- Ability to stay composed and think rationally under pressure.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to plan and organise work, achieve targets and meet deadlines.
- Ability to self-motivate and work with minimal supervision.
Special conditions
- The successful applicant must be a non-smoker
- Intra/inter-state travel, out of hours and weekend work may be required
- Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory police check and may require a further Department of Human Services clearance
- All staff are required to be fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration or have an exemption that has been endorsed by the Chief Public Health Officer or their delegate.
